Canon PowerShot AA powered cameras mostly identical. If used for TIme Lapse or similar long time shooting - external power supply would work much better than AA batteries.

Servo wires are used in this project:

Solder battery cups to the wires:

and epoxy soldered cups in-place (first image above).
Use exacto knife to make an edge for the wire to come-out. That''s an exact fit with perfect contact:

Best part - it works as long as power supply provides ~3V with amperage of about 1A.

This particular camera will be used with Raspberry Pi gPhoto2 project for a Time-Lapse photography.
gPhoto2 offers full control of this particular camera - Canon PowerShot SX110IS ($30 eBay).
Camera is 8MP - so 4K time-lapse videos can be produced with it.There's no place like ~

Added a printable guide to glue the battery caps in-place with epoxy.

It makes it easier to center cups properly.

Just use vaseline as epoxy release.

Also used a silicone and a shrink tubing to make wire come out nicely.
