Bought a rotary phone on garage sale for five bucks.
It works great with Grandstream HT801 ATA adapter.





In FXS PORT setting check "Yes" for "Enable Pulse Dialing"



The only drawback - it dials a bit longer than a touch tone but it is fun.
The touch-tone phone connected to the same analog phone line dials just fine in a touch-tone mode.There's no place like ~

In order for an old phone ringer to work it requires a bit more power than any modern phone.
In FXS PORT setting check "Yes" for "Enable High Ring Power"
